About Kolla själv

Check for yourself. Decide for yourself.

We believe no one should be listed online with their address and phone number without being asked. Kolla själv helps you say no.

Kolla själv is a free service that helps you see where your details appear on Swedish people-search sites, and remove yourself. We sell nothing, show no ads and have no login.

What we are not

• We have no connection to the sites we link to, nor to any government agency.
• We don’t remove you ourselves. You do it, on the sites’ own pages or with an email from your own account.
• We can’t promise that a site will agree to an erasure request.
• Hiding on these sites doesn’t remove you from public records held by authorities.

Your privacy

• What you type stays in your browser and is never sent to us. We have no server that receives it.
• Your progress is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device, so you can continue later. Your name is only saved if you tick “Remember my name on this device”. Otherwise it’s forgotten when you close the tab.
• If you choose the light or dark theme, that choice is also saved in your browser.
• You can delete everything with the “Delete everything saved on this device” button in the overview, or by clearing site data in your browser.
• We use no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
• When you click a search, it opens on the site itself. That site then sees the name you searched for and may use its own cookies and ads, just as if you had gone there directly.
• Emails are sent from your own email account. We never see them.
• Like every website, this page is delivered by a web host that technically handles your IP address. We never link it to anything you type, because what you type never reaches us.

How up to date is it?

We last went through the sites on 4 October 2026. Sites sometimes change how they work. Spotted something wrong? Email us at hej@kollasjalv.se.
